"I developed a Calrossy Show entry form that they had to submit ... and I got some ribbons printed up and I made some certificated as well," Mrs Jack said.
A chocolate cake took out the Category A cake prize, and a Mars bar slice won top spot in Category B for biscuits and slices .
"I wanted to keep the show parameters alive and we've already missed out on so much, this was my way of presenting something the kids would naturally do in class in a way that was a bit more special," she said.
Mrs Jack said the students' competitive streaks ran hot, but the hardest part was making them wait to eat their creations. She said she hoped next year students would be submitting entries to the Tamworth Show once again.
