The pandemic provided the perfect opportunity for Tamworth's Oporto to redecorate.

And, to celebrate the new-look restaurant, there are 500 free double fillet Bondi burgers up for grabs.

Restaurant manager Novika Tulabanbula said the idea to do-up the franchise had been in the works for at least a year, but with customers coming and going it was difficult to find the time.

"We thought it should be changed because there wasn't much space to dine-in," she said.

"Now with the COVID-19 situation there weren't many people in the store so it was a good time to renovate it.

"It has brought a big difference and made it much more spacious for sitting and dine-in.

The renovations were recently completed.
