A WOMAN and a man have been charged after two people were stabbed in separate incidents on the weekend.

A 56-year-old man is accused of stabbing his de-facto partner after an argument broke out in a Kenny Drive home in Coledale, in Tamworth.
The pair, who police claim were in a domestic relationship spanning 20 years, were in the home about 2am on Saturday when the man allegedly turned on his partner.
"Police were called to the location after a domestic incident in relation to a person receiving a wound," Oxley Detective Acting Inspector Jason Darcy said.

"As a result, a 56-year-old female sustained a minor laceration and was taken to Tamworth hospital in a stable condition for non life-threatening injuries."
The man was arrested and taken to Tamworth police station where he was charged with domestic violence-related reckless wounding, along with breaching an AVO.
He was granted bail to front court at a later date.
About 7pm on the same day, police allege a 55-year-old woman attacked a 22-year-old man, after the pair were drinking together at a gathering.
The incident occurred at a home in Spring Ridge, west of Quirindi.
Police allege the woman stabbed the younger man in the forearm. Police and paramedics were alerted and the man was taken to Tamworth hospital in a stable condition.
The woman was taken to Tamworth police station where she was charged with reckless wounding.
She was granted conditional bail to front court at a later date.
