Kid Montana has had some great success for his owners in producing 26 wins from 72 race starts with the last win being at Albion Park in July taking out the $25,000 Lucky Creed Open Pace in 1.56.5 for 2680 metres.
Montana Nights was having his second start for the Narrabri syndicate and produced a 14.3m win over $2.50 race favourite Point Oh Five (Tom Ison) with Mitrhys Magic (Anthony Varga) another six metres away third in the PKF Accountants Tamworth Pace.

With a mile rate of 1.56.8 Montana Nights was just outside the track record set by Lexy Can Wait back in December 2018 of 1.55.1 for 1609m and paid $8.00 for the win.
"We are very impressed with him," said reinsman and part owner Chris Shepherdson "He has been working well at home and that is only his second start for us."
"To go that time, it just backs up the work he has done at home"
"He needed luck in the race which he probably didn't get."
After searching for the lead from the one barrier Montana Nights stepped out of his gear on the first turn but was soon back down pacing.
"It was a bit tight racing on the corner but we ended up racing in behind the leader (Point Oh Five)," Shepherson said.
With 500m left to travel Shepherdson elected to take the Shadow Play-Jamin gelding to the lead to come away for the impressive win.
"He (Montana Nights) was full of running down the back straight and obviously I had to get out to give him a chance - he opened up well and came home very strong," he said.
"The name is there and if he is as half as good as Kid Montana, we will be happy."
Before coming to the Garry Shepherdson training stables Montana Nights had secured three wins - two at Albion Park and one at Redcliff.
The win of High Stakes in the Kennards Hire Tamworth Pace saw reinsman Sam Ison pick up The Pub Drive of the Night.
High Stakes commenced from the one barrier and is trained by Ison's father Andy.
"Going into the first corner we got crossed by Jaspers Ayr and then the leader (Bella Godiva) just jammed on the hand brake," Sam said.
After finding himself three back on the inside running line, it was only in the home straight when Bella Godiva shifted out that Ison took an inside run with his $2.60 favourite High Stakes.
"In her trial the week before she broke the 30 seconds running home," he added.
It was the four-year-old Roll With Joe mare's second career win and first for the Ison stables at her fifth start for the team.
Last week's Tamworth meeting saw a training double go the way of Tony Missen with the wins of Im So Better (Blake Hughes) and Mickey Ramone (Tom Ison)
Ison also enjoyed a driving double with the win behind Delilaah for trainer Roy Roots jnr. in the Congratulations Madi Young 100 wins Pace.
Blake Hughes also had a driving double after the win of Choisir Damour for trainer Clayton Harmey in the Wintech Equine products Pace.
Both Ison and Hughes are still in a close battle to take out the NSW State Concessions Driver Premiership with Tom Ison just ahead on 109 wins and Hughes on 107.
Both reinsmen will be at the Newcastle meeting on Friday night - Ison with seven drives and Hughes with five drives - with the Premiership coming to a close on August 31 the duo will be trying their hardest for sure.
