Five thousand dollars will go directly towards helping the Tamworth RFS and its volunteers repair equipment that was damaged in the bushfires and purchase basic supplies.
The money has come from Newcastle Permanent's employee donation program CommunityAssist that gives more than $65,000 to charities each year.
Tamworth RFS Superintendent Allyn Purkiss said he was "blown away" by the support.
"We're so appreciative to receive this donation from Newcastle Permanent," he said.

"The support we have received from the community this year has been amazing. Not everyone can fight fires but plenty of people are supporting us in other ways that make a real difference."
Superintendent Purkiss said along with other donations received over the fire season, this money will go towards repairs and maintenance for a couple of older trailers that were extensive used over the fire season, and now in need of some TLC.
Funds will also go towards building a training trailer that will be used to transport training equipment to various locations around the district.
