A MAN who was allegedly illegally hunting with unregistered dogs has been issued with infringement notices.
The 43-year-old man from Kenebri was detected in the Pilliga State Forest by rural crime investigators from Mudgee.
"The man was also using hunting dogs that were not registered," state rural crime co-ordinator Detective Inspector Cameron Whiteside said.
"He was issued with infringements for the offences of hunt game animal in public place without a permit and not identify a dog as prescribed."
Detective Inspector Whiteside said NSW Police, and in particular the Rural Crime Prevention Team, were committed to ensuring that appropriate legal action was taken against those who choose to act outside the law in respect to hunting and trespassing.
He urged anyone who detects someone trespassing on their property to call Triple Zero immediately.
