Oxley Detective Acting Inspector Jason Darcy has moved to allay community alarm surrounding the incident in Vera Street on Monday afternoon.
"Police believe this was targeted; we believe the parties are known to one another," he told the Leader.
"I know there has been some community alarm but we need those people who know who is involved to come forward so we can find the people responsible and put them before the court."

The 40-year-old woman and her flat mate were not injured when four men stormed the home.
It happened shortly before 2.30pm when the men - all described as being Aboriginal in appearance - confronted the 40-year-old woman at the front door.
They then forced their way in and threatened her, and demanded cash. The offenders then threatened and assaulted her 24-year-old flatmate.
Police said the woman handed over a sum of cash and the offenders fled the home.

Officers have doorknocked the area for witnesses and are appealing for anyone that might have seen the men in the Vera Street area on Monday afternoon, or anyone driving past with dashcam footage.
