The woman and her flat mate were not injured, but were threatened and one was assaulted on Monday.
It happened shortly before 2.30pm when four men forced their way inside the Vera Street home.
Police have been told the men - all described as being Aboriginal in appearance - confronted the 40-year-old woman at the front door.

They then stormed the home and threatened her, demanding cash. They then turned on her 24-year-old flatmate, and assaulted them, whilst demanding money.
Police said the woman handed over a sum of cash and the offenders fled the home.
Officers were alerted about 2.25pm by a Triple Zero call and rushed to the scene.
The residents did not require medical treatment but were interviewed by police and a crime scene setup at the home, which was combed by forensic officers.
Police have doorknocked the area for witnesses and are appealing for anyone that might have seen the men in the Vera Street area on Monday afternoon, or anyone driving past with dashcam footage.
