Friday's worldwide event is usually celebrated in bars across the globe.
However, The Welder's Dog owner Ben Coombes said the pandemic had changed the way we marked the occasion.

"It's days like these that make us miss the way we enjoyed a drink before the pandemic and the lockdowns," Mr Coombes said.
"However, while things are a bit different and a bit tough right now, it's important to stay positive and to know the good times will come again."
The event coincided with the release of The Welder's Dog limited edition 2020 commemorative porter, which Mr Coombes said had been "incredibly popular."
"We didn't make too many because we weren't sure how popular they'd be," he said.
"However, people have been really keen to get their hands on one, so they have gone like hotcakes.
"I think for sure we will be looking at releasing another batch soon."
Mr Coombes said the introduction of Bunker Boxes had helped keep his "business ticking" during the pandemic.
"We just thought it would be a good way for locals to support local businesses," he said.
"They have been going really well and during the times we weren't sure when we'd reopen, they've been a blessing.
"Were really thankful for everyone's support and can't wait for the day we can all get together and have a beer like we used to."
