In a contrast to their opening round against the Armidale Blues where they gave away the lead in the final 15 minutes, Robb College sealed a win in the late stages of Saturday's clash with Glen Innes.

The students were behind on the scoreboard "with about 15 to go" but managed to sail past the Elks in the dying stages to claim a 27-19 victory. The trend of determining the result of their matches in the final 15 minutes is not one coach David McCathie wants to continue.
"We certainly don't, we much rather they seal these games a bit earlier," he said.

"They played pretty well, it was very much a hard-fought win."
It's been a tough start to the year with numbers dwindling due to students not returning to the university campus after coronavirus restrictions were lifted.
McCathie praised those who stepped up as they continue to build for 2021.

"Hopefully we can keep the same team on the paddock for a while, that is the big issue at this stage," he said.
"As I always keep saying, it is really building up towards to getting a few combinations towards next year hopefully."
Their task this Saturday doesn't get much tougher than facing newcomers, the Harbour Knights.
"That will be a benchmark for us by the look of it," McCathie said.
"They look like a strong team judging by the scores on Saturday. 31-all, must have been a good game.
"I am assuming they are going to have a very big forward pack and they are just going to try and rumble it up the whole time."
McCathie is confident they can tackle those forwards with plenty of practice in the opening two rounds.
"We have been tackling really well, our defence has been our strong suit so if we can make our tackles and get a fair share of the ball, win our ball, that will be the most important thing," he said.
"Winning our set phases and we will see how we go from there."
