In celebration of NSW Education Week, early educators will have a rare opportunity this Wednesday, as speech pathologist Anne Williams offers a free lesson on pre-literacy and school readiness.
Co-creator of newly launched online course Sounds good to me, Anne has over 30 years' experience in the industry.
In the 30 minute webinar, Anne will provide a sneak peak of the full program, which covers phonological awareness and school readiness for educators working with children aged three to six-years-old.
Phonological awareness, also known as sound awareness, refers a range of skills demonstrating the understanding that words are made up of smaller parts such as syllables and sounds.
Anne will touch on how to teach listening and language skills, rhyming, sound awareness, segmenting and blending of sounds.
The live webinar will air at 6pm on Wednesday, August 5. To learn more or register, visit www.soundsgoodtome.com.au.
