Timbumburi Public School sent off four creations to be entered in the event, done by students ranging in age from Year 1 to Year 5.
Acting assistant principal Lesley Lamb said the school had been involved in Operation Art for more than five years now - though this year is a bit different.
"The kids are pretty excited, they're always excited for it," she said.

Art is a popular subject at the primary school, something Ms Lamb said the kids "love".
Operation Art is an initiative of The Children's Hospital at Westmead with the NSW Department of Education.
Out of hundreds of entries submitted across the state, 50 are chosen to hang in the hospital and in normal times they go on a touring exhibition.
The artworks that aren't chosen are sent back to their creators, framed.
"It's a bit of a catch 22 really because you want your students to win but if they don't, they get to keep their artwork," Ms Lamb said.
Timbumburi puts on their own art display showcasing the works if they're returned.
"The kids have done it before and they understand the process," Ms Lamb said.
The final creations from the school destined for Operation Art have been sent off.
They belonged to Callie Jarrett, Miriam U'Ren, Claudia Stewart and Amelia Brooks.
