THERE were a number of street name changes on the agenda and all passed unanimously at Tuesday's Tamworth Regional Council meeting.
In Westdale, two streets at a new development are proposed to be named Bonney Street after politician and civil servant Charles Bonney and Baudin Street after explorer, cartographer and naturalist Nicolas Thomas Baudin who was part of an expedition to map the coast of Australia.
The new names will be submitted to the Geographic Names Board, Australia Post, NSW Fire and Rescue and others.
The same goes for a section of Bournes Lane in Moore Creek that was closed as part of a subdivision and has now caused the numbers to not be in order.
The name will stay the same in one section and be changes in another section within the flora and fauna theme.
The council will write to affected residents to ask for comment.
