There are a few spends on the agenda tonight, with the council to vote on whether to fork out an estimated $17,500 on the open market to buy water to replace the amount it took "well in-excess" of its allocation.
Staff at the council were under the impression that it could continue to take water from the wells in the new year, but has been informed by the Natural Resources Access Regulator that this is not the case.
The Intermodal Rail Hub project and associated Tamworth Global Gateway Park appear to have started to get back on track after a number of hurdles and stumbling blocks.
Council will vote tonight on whether to spend its half-share of $4.4 million for access roads to the industrial precinct.
Also on the agenda are the possibility of automated water meter readers, a development application to extend a "veterinary hospital" that according to council papers did not have the approvals to be one in the first place and whether the council will be a co-principal partner of the Australian Water Association conference to be held in Tamworth in November.
