On Saturday the Tamworth Swans forward kicked nine goals, to go with her six the previous week, as they schooled an undermanned Moree Suns 23.16 (154) to 2.0 (12).
Burnes has been a very handy pick-up for the women's side after relocating from Port Macquarie with her partner Dylan Beasley. Both are teachers and lacing boots up the for the Swans, Burnes up front and Beasley at the back for the men's side.

Swans coach Andrew Donohue first came across Burnes last year when the Swans played Port Macquarie in a trial match and was very happy when he learnt that she and Beasley were moving to Tamworth.
"She's a really good kicker of the ball and a strong marker," he said.
It hasn't only been on the scoreboard that Burnes has had an impact, with Donohue noting how well the forward line has been operating.
"The forward line in general, it doesn't matter who I put there they're working really well," he said.
That was evident on Saturday with Gabrielle Joice stepping up when Olivia Climpson was forced off with an ankle injury, and kicking a couple of goals and setting up another couple.
One of the most pleasing things for Donohue is the way the forwards are moving into space. Last year they were a bit prone to just standing there waiting for the ball to come.
As a team they are now too "actually looking for targets" not just bombing and hoping.
Saturday's result followed a 36-point opening round win over the debuting Gunnedah Bulldogs and Donohue said he can't fault the way they have started the season.
"They're really clicking and what we do at training you can start to see that coming out," he said.
His biggest problem at the moment trying to juggle the roster with 27 players on the list and only 22 allowed to play each game.
Joice, Climpson, Keely Jameson, Madison Sharp, Naomi Burke and Jess Hall all chipped in with two goals on Saturday while Hannah Bronger kicked both of the Suns' goals.
Next up for the Swans is the Inverell Saints.
Donohue said they have never beaten the Saints but is looking forward to seeing how they go on Saturday.
"I'm keen to see how different it is to last year," he said.
