The works are scheduled for Sunday, when traffic in the area is lower than during the week.
The planned power outage will occur between 8.30am and 4.00pm.
Road closures will come into effect at a section of the north-eastern side of Calala Lane, between Campbell Road and Panorama Road.

A section of Osprey Way at the end of Calala Lane, and Peregrine Avenue will also be closed.
Essential Energy's Northern Tablelands operations manager Mark Summers, said a routine asset inspection found some electrical components that were nearing the end of their life.
"During the maintenance, two power poles with significant electrical network infrastructure on them need to be replaced, including one on the busy corner of Osprey Way and Calala Lane," he explained.
He said households and businesses set to be affected by the power outage have been notified.
"As part of Essential Energy's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, all maintenance work requiring a power outage is being carefully assessed, however these works do need to be completed to ensure the network remains safe and reliable for customers," he said.
