Just a few hours before, crews from both towns were also at a housefire on Herbert Street.
They were called out at about 6pm, where they could see a large amount of smoke on the drive there.
On arrival, crews found a brick and tile house on fire, and they got to work in breathing apparatus (BA).
Multiple BA teams brought the fire under control in about 45 minutes. Essential Energy crews were also on scene quickly to cut the power to the premises.
No occupants were home at the time of this fire, either.
Ambulance and police were in attendance to provide support.
