Bad weather hinders rescue operation for injured motorbike rider
A man has received serious head and chest injuries after coming off his motorbike during bad weather.

The 17-year-old man was riding along Rifle Range Road in Inverell around 3pm on Saturday when he came off the bike.
Emergency services attended the scene to treat him.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter team, however, could not get to the injured man due to low fog and cloud preventing the chopper from landing.

He was taken to Inverell Airport and transported to Armidale hospital.
