The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) is forecasting strong chances of rain for Tamworth during the next five days.
Friday is set to be the start of the wet weather, thanks to a low-pressure trough, which is being fed by moisture from both the Tasman Sea and the Coral Sea.

The change in weather is expected to hit most of the state from the Victorian border to the Queensland border.
Most of NSW is expected to benefit from the rainfall but areas east of the Great Dividing Range are likely to receive higher totals.
BOM predicts Saturday will be Tamworth's best chance of rain as there is a 90 per cent chance of 6mm to 10mm.
Sunday and Monday are both expected to offer up good prospects as there is a 70 per cent chance of 3mm to 10mm of the wet stuff.
BOM predicts the rainfall will vary across different regions, due to some of the rain being brought by storms.
However, the storm activity may mean some parts of the state could be in line for more rain than expected.
