The seven horse placed second in four of those races.
Dean Chapple was one of those who made the most of the one barrier - driving two winners along with the added bonus of training a winner, which was also out of the one barrier!

His new stable acquisition Louthpark Xpresso opened the account in the first race, with a 25-metre win after leading all the way from the one barrier.
Also driven by Chapple, Louthpark Xpresso is raced by his wife Julie. Chapple then presented to the winner's circle in the Hygain Micrspeed Pace - this time with the Ernie Mabbott-trained Spikeador.
"The one barrier helped for sure as she [Louthpark Xpresso] is not the fastest horse out of the barrier," Chapple said.
Spikeador also had an all-the-way win, with a mile rate of 1min 57.9sec and a winning margin of 10m over Point Oh Five (Sam Ison).
Classy Trim (Blake Hughes) was another 4.6m away in third place.
"I have had a quiet couple of months and only got a winner here and there," Chapple said.
"But it is a while since I drove a double."
It was I'm Quite American who rounded out the day for the Chapple stables with a win in the Tamworthharnessracing.com.au Pace. Anthony Varga handled the reins.
Other winners from the one barrier were Flightnfight, from the Williams Stables, and Our Bushwacker (the Stacie Elliott stables).
The last three races on the program were taken out from the number three barrier: Yosemite (Blake Hughes) Dark Side (Maddison Simon) and Believe In Heaven (Tom Ison).
After a last-start win at Tamworth, Flightnfight will contest the Newcastle meeting on Friday night.
Trained by Richard Williams at Tamworth, Flightnfight was handled by Brad Elder in the Tamworth win.
The Maitland reinsman has retained the drive for Newcastle.
