Locals travelling on the Kamilaroi Highway this month will need to take roadwork delays into account, with lots of works under way from Breeza to Narrabri.

There are four seperate sets of roadworks occurring in Gunnedah, each to be finished by the end of July.
On the highway near Caroona Road, there will be works in place until Friday, July 17.
Alternating (stop/slow) traffic conditions will be in place, and motorists are advised to allow around five minutes extra travel time.
They will also have to reduce their speed to 40km/h.
There will also be a drainage upgrade on the highway near Blue Vale Road, which will be occurring until Friday, July 31.
Locals should allow extra travel time, and exercise caution when approaching the area.
Roadwork will also occur on the highway near Quia Road until Friday, July 10.
Motorists are advised to allow around five minutes extra travel time, and alternating (stop/slow) traffic conditions will be in place.
There will also be a reduced speed limit to 40km/h.
Lastly for Gunnedah, the intersection upgrade for the Boundary Road roundabout will be happening until Saturday, July 18.
Traffic controllers will be onsite directing motorists on and off the two southern legs of the new roundabout.
This detour is suitable for heavy vehicles, and there will be a reduced speed limit in place.
Baan Baa to Turrawan
Culvert and shoulder widening will occur on the Kamilaroi Highway from Baan Baa to Turrawan this month, too.
There will be intermittent lane closures for the work to occur until Wednesday, September 30, and motorists will need to reduce their speed to 40km/h.
Vehicles wider than 3.5m must pull into signposted bays and call UHF 28 if travelling south and UHF 29 if travelling north to receive directions from traffic controllers on site.
Roadworks will be under way on the highway near Mystery Road until Wednesday, July 15.
There is a reduced speed limit of 60km/h in this area, and locals are urged to exercise caution.
