But Anthony James Koicev will still stand trial, after denying the remaining charges against him in Tamworth Local Court.
A charge of shooting with intent to murder; cultivating a prohibited plant that's more than an indictable quantity; and attempted intimidation were withdrawn by prosecutors.
Koicev entered pleas of not guilty to charges of using an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence; and intimidation.

After the pleas, magistrate Julie Soars committed the 38-year-old for trial in Tamworth District Court.
He will front an arraignment hearing in August where he will formally enter pleas to the charges.
Jury trials are currently suspended in Tamworth due to the COVID crisis so it's unknown when Koicev will have his case heard.
A further charge of cultivating a prohibited plant will be mentioned in the local court later this month.
It's the police case that the 38-year-old had fired a gun out the window of his car parked on Phillip Street in Carroll at another man in a vehicle parked a short distance away, on the night of October 17, last year.
The defence had earlier argued the forensic evidence against their client didn't stack up.
Koicev has been on bail since the start of the year.
As part of his conditions, Koicev must report daily to police; comply with a curfew; not possess any firearms; and post $1000 surety.
He has been banned from entering Carroll, or going within 50km of the village.
He's also prohibited from drinking alcohol or taking drugs.
