With 125 new roles on offer with the NPWS across the state, women in the Northern Inland are particularly being encouraged to join the team at the frontline protecting parks and threatened wildlife.
NPWS acting area manager Rita Enke said it would be fantastic to see more women applying, but noted that applications closed soon.
"We have field officer positions available in Coonabarabran, Narrabri, Glen Innes and Walcha," Ms Enke said.
"Our field officers work in our beautiful national parks every day maintaining and improving facilities including walking tracks, visitor areas and fire trails.
"They undertake pest and weed control work and are critical in our wildfire response, hazard reduction works and assist the police in incidents such as search and rescues."

"Every workday is different. Since starting with NPWS last year, the skills I've gained and the jobs I've done is amazing - everything from firefighting, maintaining infrastructure, constructing facilities, removing hazardous trees in our campgrounds, spraying weeds and talking to our visitors," she said.
Ms Hunt said her job was never boring and the opportunities for learning and development were endless.
"I love the active lifestyle and the range of jobs I need to do. You need to be versatile and be able to take on any task that's thrown at you - today I'm fixing the water supply in Warrumbungle National Park so that our visitors can have a shower at the end of the day," she said.
Applications are invited from people of all genders and many of the roles are targeted for employment of Aboriginal people.
