These are:
Individual Awards
Awarded to an outstanding apprentice in all aspects of their trade.
For a trainee who has been outstanding in all aspects of their training.
This award recognises outstanding achievement by a vocational student in a course of study leading to a nationally recognised qualification.
This recognises the achievement of an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student who displays a strong understanding and knowledge of the vocational education and training system.
Presented to a student undertaking a Certificate II or above as a part-time school-based apprentice.
In recognition of innovation and excellence by a vocational education and training teacher-trainer providing training to students.
This award is open to full-time year 11 or year 12 school students undertaking accredited vocational education as part of their HSC studies.
Organisation Awards
Recognising a registered training organisation that demonstrates excellence and high level performance in all aspects of vocational education and training.
This award recognises a registered training organisation, that demonstrates excellence and high level performance in all aspects of vocational education and training.
This award recognises exemplary skills development collaboration between at least one employer-industry body and at least one organisation delivering training.
This award recognises a large business that employs 200 or more full-time equivalent employees, and has achieved excellence in the provision of 'nationally recognised training' to its employees.
This award recognises a medium business that employs 20 or more, but less than 200 full-time equivalent employees, and has achieved excellence.
The two major sponsors of the awards since 2007 are BHP Billiton and the ANZ. The GNSDG views this event as paramount for our region.
