The gym re-opened on June 15, with some changes to operations in place as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic:
- Bookings are essential for 1 hour time slots per person
- A maximum of 10 people can attend the centre at a time
- If you are able to come outside of peak times please do
- There will be a half hour cleaning period between each booking slot
- There will be no organised classes at the moment
- There will be free programs for those who usually attend classes and need some guidance
- Personal training sessions will still run with a maximum of 2 people at a time
- The play area will be closed, therefore parents will be unable to bring their children to sessions
Those wishing to attend Plains Fitness will be required to book in online using the MINDBODY app.
There is a tutorial available for the use of this app on the Plains Fitness Facebook page along with more details on operations at the centre.

Personal training clients will hear from their trainers regarding their time slots.
"These measures are on trial and with everyone's cooperation and compliance with safety requirements Plains Fitness staff and council will continue to review the situation and make changes as necessary," Liverpool Plains Shire Council mayor Andrew Hope said.
"It is great news that those who have missed their exercise/fitness regime during the virus shutdowns can once again participate in what they love doing."
But Cr Hope emphasised that it was important for everyone "to play their part with best social distancing and hygiene practices".
"If you are sick please postpone your visit until you are better," he said.
