Tamworth residents are in for a frosty long weekend with temperatures set to hit zero degrees, according the the Bureau of Meteorology.

Widespread frosts are predicted for Saturday and Sunday while parts of the region will get some more frosts on Monday to finish off the June long weekend.
Maximum temperatures in Tamworth will be between 17 and 18 degrees across the weekend with Sunday set to be the coldest. Sunday is predicted to get as low as zero degrees in the country music capital.
Gunnedah can expect similar maximum temperatures to Tamworth and will be coldest on Saturday and Sunday when the thermometer is expected to hit a low of one degree.
Meanwhile, Glen Innes, Armidale, Barraba and Walcha can all expect temperatures in the negative.
Glen Innes and Barraba are expected to be some of the coldest towns in the region with a low of -3 on Sunday.
But after the frost melts around the region, residents can expect dry days with no rain predicted over the weekend.
