There were reports of snow right across the region and the amount varied from place to place.
Bendemeer, Uralla, Armidale, Guyra, Glen Innes, Moonbi and Hanging Rock were some of the towns that reportedly got some of the snow predicted by the Bureau of Meteorology yesterday.
"Yesterday we had a strong cold front make its way through the state of NSW. As a result we've had flurries of snow in elevated regions of the Northern Tablelands such as Armidale and Guyra this morning," BoM meteorologist Alex Majchrowski said.
"Snow is not expected to settle and should clear up pretty quickly throughout the day.
"However we do urge road users to take caution as roads can remain icy and slippery during this time."
Maximum temperatures are expected to increase throughout the week but lows will still be in the negative in some areas.
