ONE of the alleged ringleaders of the Tamworth 'ice castle' has been granted bail by the NSW Supreme Court, despite facing life behind bars, if found guilty.

Rebecca Hanshaw was released by the court in Sydney on Tuesday after lodging a fresh bid for release.
Hanshaw is banned from contacting her co-accused husband, Stephen Hanshaw, or any others charged in the alleged 'ice castle' police sting. She's also been ordered to stay out of Tamworth.
It's Hanshaw's first taste of freedom after almost a year behind bars.
She was one of the first arrested in the police sting, code-named Strike Force Radius, which saw Oxley officers raid her Petra Avenue unit in South Tamworth, which police claim was dubbed the 'ice castle' by the alleged ringleaders.

Hanshaw faces more than a dozen drug and weapons charges including supplying more than a large commercial quantity of the drug ice - a charge that carries a maximum of life imprisonment.
She is yet to formally enter pleas, however police have certified the charges against her, which could proceed to trial in the district court.
On Tuesday, Justice Elizabeth Fullerton granted bail to Hanshaw on 12 separate conditions, warning if she breached a single condition, she was back to jail.
"Bail is to be automatically revoked in the event of any breach of any one of these conditions and the applicant may thereupon be arrested by any police officer," Justice Fullerton ordered in court documents.
As part of the conditions, Hanshaw is to be of good behaviour and not commit any offences.
She must report to Inverell police three times a week, and appear in Tamworth court for her case, whenever required.
She must live with a family member in Bundarra, and must not leave that address unless in the company of the nominated family member.
She's not allowed to go within 5km of the Tamworth Post Office, except to attend court or pre-arranged legal conferences with her defence team.
She must not contact or associate with any co-accused, including through social media or through friends and family, or any witnesses.
Hanshaw is not allowed to change her address unless she heads back to court.
The court ordered she be collected from the jail by a nominated person and taken to the Bundarra address.
She's also banned from drinking alcohol, entering licensed premises or taking drugs.
