A TOTALLY gnarly masterplan to 360 Viaduct Park has been given the unanimous go-ahead by Tamworth Regional Council.

It is exactly one year since the new skate park was built and the region's skaters have well-and-truly given it a grind.
The use of the skate park is well beyond the council's expectations, Tamworth Regional Council sports and recreation manager Paul Kelly said.
"The existing infrastructure of the old skate park will be removed and the area will become an open space with some picnic tables to support the long vehicle car park for travellers to have a break," he said.
"The infrastructure that is removed from the old skate park will require engineer reports to determine what sections might be able to be reused elsewhere."
The state government gave TRC a grant to build a youth training cafe at the skate park in February.
Skaters might not be the only ones serving up a fresh grind at the park. The aim is to boost youth unemployment rates in the region with trainees being handed career progression in the cafe and with other businesses in the CBD.
A lot of thought had gone into the masterplan, councillor Charles Impy said, and he applauded the staff who pulled it together.
"It's really exciting, I was talking to my partner who lives in Glen Innes with three children," he said.
"I showed them some pictures of the diagrams and they were so excited too, so much to say that they wished they lived in Tamworth.
"I think facilities like this recreationally will bring more and more people to our community because it becomes a liveable city and a liveable region."
Expressions of interest for the construction of the park cafe are out at the moment, and the tenders for management will go out later this week.
JobLink Plus has previously expressed some interest in management of the skate park cafe.
But, it's not the only new addition to the park included in the plan.

An upgraded playground will include generous lawns, a raised stage platform for entertaining, table tennis, a bouldering and rock-climbing wall, a basketball court and a sheltered play space.
Plus, a large shaded area will be built with more parking bays and new circuit paved pathways for walkers and bike riders.
