Rugby Australia says it has provided "regular guidance" to clubs throughout the Covid-19 epidemic, in response to a stinging rebuke by the Narrabri Blue Boars president.
In a post on Narrabri's Facebook page on Sunday, Mick Coffey said Rugby AU's communication to and direction of grassroots rugby throughout the crisis had been "completely abysmal".

However, Rugby AU spokesman Michael Earsman said the governing body directly and regularly guided clubs during the crisis, or did so through the New South Wales Rugby Union.
"NSWRU has contacted the club today [Tuesday]," he said.
In the post, Coffey said: "The communication and direction from Rugby AU to the grassroots level has been completely abysmal and have left us to try to navigate through all this ourselves, so my apologies for perhaps not delivering enough information to you - I simply don't have any most of the time."
Central North Rugby Union president Tony Byrnes distanced the organisation from the rebuke, saying it was a personal opinion - and one that he did not agree with.
