In a live broadcast on Friday morning hosted at the Lands Building, the Volunteer of the Year Award winners were officially announced.
Over 30 nominations were put forward for the four categories, with the youngest just 16 years of age, and the oldest with 90 years under the belt.
This was up from previous years, showing that in-spite of, or because if, the COVID-19 pandemic, this recognition and a dose of good news was more important than ever.
Sally Cronberger was doubly praised, winning the Adult Category for volunteers aged between 25 and 64 years, as well as being awarded the Overall 2020 Community Volunteer of the Year Award.
Each winner will be automatically nominated in the NSW Volunteer of the Year awards organised by the NSW Centre for Volunteering, which will be announced later in the year.
