The Alumy Creek Angus 30th Annual Bull Sale will go ahead at 1pm on Friday, May 29 and Stud Principals Colin Keevers and Lisa Martin have a great looking line up of 42 two year old Angus Bulls on offer. Colin said the bulls present really well despite a tough year in the New England region, and are testament to the easy going, high feed efficiency genetics they select for in their herd. The sale will be held at Coldawinda Tenterfield with COVID-19 protocols for essential livestock auctions strictly enforced for buyers attending on property. All of the bulls have videos to view online, while the sale will interface with AuctionsPlus and also have phone bidding, allowing buyers to purchase from their own home.

Things will operate a little differently in 2020 and Colin said bull inspections this year are presale appointment only and the normal great Angus steak sandwiches will not be on offer. "Instead we suggest support the innovative Tenterfield food businesses offering delicious takeaway food options as you travel through town," he said.

They're an even draft of bulls that will add profit to your herd being easy calving and fast growing.

Colin Keevers, Alumy Creek Stud Principal

Colin said this years draft includes outcross genetics sons of calving ease and proven carcase sires, Baldridge Compass and KCF Bennett The Rock, trait leading feed efficiency and high yielding powerful growth sires Freys Opportunity and Vision Unanimous, and popular Australian feedlot sire Esslemont Lotto. "We have a great selection of easy calving heavy muscled bulls with real world Angus type. More than half the draft is also suitable for use over heifers for those rebuilding their herds post drought," he said. "We are also excited to offer some of the first Australian sons of calving ease specialists LD Capitalist 316 and Musgrave Apache that provide added value carcase profit and cow maker performance".

All bulls in the sale draft have been DNA genomics tested and sire verified, and Coline confirmed they have all been fully health tested and performance recorded. "They're an even draft of bulls that will add profit to your herd being easy calving and fast growing with added muscle, depth and capacity and great temperament," he said.
