As the councillors focus their attention on that decision, the business community has urged the council to work together to provide stability.
While there have been no reasons given for termination - councillors say they are not allowed to speak publicly about their motives - last week six councillors contacted the mayor requesting the meeting to terminate Mrs Law's contract.
It is their second attempt at removing the CEO.

A closed extraordinary council meeting held in March to vote on Mrs Law's position was shut down by the mayor, Simon Murray, on a technicality, then the matter was due to come up again at last month's council meeting, but was withdrawn from the agenda days before that meeting.
Armidale Business Chamber president Anthony Fox said what the community needed was stability.
While he said the chamber did not take sides on issues like this within council, when contacted by The Armidale Express, he did express concerns about what the councillors were paying attention to at the moment.
"I just wish the councillors would focus more on dealing with COVID-19 and the economic recovery that's going to be very necessary, particularly when we've just gone through a drought and bushfires, rather than these issues," Mr Fox said.
"It just seems to me to be a pity that that's the focus.
"I think all businesses want stability, that's very, very important, and they want the council as far as humanly possible to work together," he said.
The time for Monday's meeting has not been confirmed yet, but it's expected it will be closed to the public and the media.
