The three-year old filly was having her first start for the stables after previously being with John O'Shea and held off the challenge of favourite Ciao Uno (Kris Lees) to get home by a length.
Speaking with Thoroughbred Central post-race, Morgan's partner Lucy Goodsell, handling the duties trackside for the injured trainer, said it was a strong run.
"She had a few soundness issues that Code's been working on with our vet and things like that, so very happy with her first-up run," she said.
Jumping from the inside barrier, the filly hugged the rails most of the journey and showed a good kick.
As for the 'patient' (Morgan) he is "on the mend".

"A couple of weeks and he should be back in the stables," Goodsell said.
The stables went within a nose of two winners for the meeting, which was transferred from Gunnedah, with Rubble beaten in a photo by favourite Lord Tony in the Gunnedah Cup 31st May Benchmach 66 Handicap (1000m), the Troy O'Neile-trained gelding getting home on the outside.
There was some irony in that given the manor of Ligulate's Tamworth Cup triumph eight days ago, the outside working in Morgan's favour in the photo on that occasion.
In a tight finish the first four were within a length, Morgan's other runner, Purton, flashing home from 12 lengths off the lead at the 500, for third.
Ronan's Rock had earlier picked up third in the Stay Safe At Home Class 1 Handicap (1000m).
The meeting though wasn't without drama with Rapid Eagle scratched at the barriers of the TAB.com.au CG&E Benchmark 58 Handicap (1400m) on vets advice. The gelding was looking to go back-to-back for Morgan after an impressive win at Muswellbrook on April 13 and was the red-hot favourite.
