A MAN has been refused bail after officers uncovered a shotgun and drugs during a police raid in Tamworth.

Patrick Richard Kerr is accused of using or supplying a stolen firearm or part; possessing a shortened firearm without authority; not keeping a prohibited gun safely; and possessing ammunition without a permit.
The 46-year-old was denied bail in Tamworth Local Court on Friday, with magistrate Peter Thompson ordering him to stay behind bars until the case returns to court in late-May.
Kerr was arrested at a Calala home on Thursday.

The Oxley Target Action Group (TAG) raided the home on Calala Lane about 1pm on Wednesday.
During the search, police allegedly uncovered a shotgun, ammunition, methylamphetamine, mobile phones and a safe, which were seized.
A 37-year-old woman was arrested shortly before 1.30pm on Thursday at a Calala Lane home but was later released without charge pending further investigations, police said.
Kerr was then arrested by officers. He is yet to enter pleas to the charges.
Police said investigations are continuing.
