Tamworth Jockey Club is trading in the famed 'fashions on the field' event for a socially-distanced alternative, appropriately dubbed "Fashions off the Field" for this year's Tamworth Cup event.
Event manager Erin Miller said the online competition gives people a reason to look good and feel good.

"During a time like this when no one is going anywhere, people are keen to ditch the tracksuit pants and put their outfits to use," she said.
"Some people spend months planning an outfit ... and some people even make their own."
Ladies and men are encouraged to enter the event by 5pm on Friday, by posting a photo or short video to Instagram or Facebook. Entrants must tag the Tamworth Jockey Club and using the hashtag #fashionsfromhome.
The winners will be announced on Sunday - Tamworth Cup day - online.
Ms Miller said the fashions on the field community is a tight-knit one, and being able to host the event through social media gives people a chance to support one another.
"We are so encouraged by the results ... it's been phenomenal," she told the Leader.
She said the online competition has cut through geographical limits and allowed people from all over NSW, and even Victoria, to enter.
"At a time when people are staying home and basically living through social media, it's nice to dress up, even if we're not going anywhere," she said.
A crowd may be missing this year, but the race will still be run at Tamworth racecourse and broadcast via racing channels.
