The Easter Golf events will tee off on Good Friday with a Medley Stableford, followed by a 36-hole Easter Tournament Single Stableford on Saturday and Sunday, with the gross and nett winner and runner-up to be determined over the two days. There will then be another Medley Stableford on Easter Monday.
Moree Golf Club encourages all members to take part, while adhering to social distancing rules.
"Thankfully, golf is one of the very few options of sport we are still able to play, so we encourage our members to continue playing as it is a great form of maintaining both your physical and mental health during these uncertain times," a club spokesperson said.
"Social golfers are welcome to play after the comp."
Players are reminded that there is a maximum of two people per group and only one person per cart unless they have proof that both reside under the same address.
All players must exercise social distancing throughout the entirety of their games, keeping at least 1.5 metres away from others.
Flags must not be removed when putting out and players are not permitted to shake hands at the end of their game.
There will also be no congregating before, during or after games, with players asked to hand their cards into the pro shop when they've finished and then leave the course.
Hand sanitiser is available in the pro shop and bar and people are encouraged to use it.
Players are also urged to stay home if they are feeling unwell.
Carts and buggies are available to hire. Call the pro shop on 6752 1480.
The club will also be open for takeaway alcohol sales on Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10am to 5pm, but will be closed Friday. Alcohol that is not purchased from the Moree Golf Club is not allowed to be brought onto the course.
