HNEH confirmed on Wednesday afternoon, that as at 8pm on Tuesday, there were 254 cases of coronavirus across the local health district.
The Tamworth local government area has 12 confirmed cases of COVID-19 - a figure that has remained stable since March 30.
The latest update from HNEH indicates 129 people have recovered from the infection, including 12 in the last 24-hour testing period.
The total case numbers released by HNEH show how many people have contracted the virus since it was first recorded in the district, meaning 129 of 254 people have recovered from COVID-19.
Although case numbers have been released by local government area, and more recently, which postcodes patients reside in, HNEH have not made details public about where people who have recovered from the virus live.
This means that while Tamworth local government area has had a total of 12 COVID-19 cases confirmed, it is unknown whether any of these local patients are one of the 129 people who have recovered from the virus.
The Leader contacted HNEH for comment, but it is yet to respond to questions.

Two more people have been tested for COVID-19 in Armidale, as authorities try to determine where the city's latest case came from.
But it's understood one of the tests could shed light on that.
While one of them is a work colleague of a person who tested positive to coronavirus on Tuesday, the third person - who had contact with the other two - recently moved to Armidale from Sydney.
The work colleague's test result came back negative on Wednesday, while the other result is not known yet.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday morning, Northern Tablelands MP Adam Marshall said the test result of the recent arrival would be known on Thursday.
"It might solve the riddle," Mr Marshall said.
"That third person is not an Armidale local; it's someone who moved very recently from Sydney.
"So, if both of those two individuals do test positive, and the results come back today or tomorrow, then it's highly likely that they will ... know exactly where that person contracted the coronavirus.
"That would be very comforting to the community."
When the second case of COVID-19 was confirmed in Armidale on Tuesday, Mr Marshall described it as the most worrying yet in his electorate, because it was the first case where the person had not been overseas, and the source for contracting the virus was not known.
The Northern Tablelands electorate has eight confirmed cases of COVID-19, at the latest health update on Wednesday.
A three-year-old boy is the first child under the age of ten in the HNEH district to contract COVID-19. He was a close contact of a known patient.
There are now 2734 COVID-19 cases in NSW, according to the latest NSW Health data from 8pm on Tuesday.
