A MAN has been granted bail, accused of firing a gun during a domestic argument near Tamworth.

The 39-year-old is alleged to have fired the firearm on Thursday night inside a Susan Street property in Kootingal.
Police were called to the home about 6.30pm after reports of a domestic-related argument. On arrival, officers phoned the man, who was inside.
He walked outside and was arrested without incident, police said.

A crime scene was set up and the man's firearm and ammunition was seized. His firearm's licence has also been suspended.
The man was taken to Tamworth police station were he was charged with a raft of offences including firing a firearm in a manner that's likely to injure a person; damaging property; intimidation; not keeping a firearm safely; and holder of Category A or B firearm licence not have approved storage.
He was granted conditional bail to front Tamworth Local Court in mid-June.
