Appreciate our teachers
With the increasing number of infections, and sadly deaths, from COVID-19 the world has changed. One of the odd outcomes is the appreciation of teachers and what their job actually involves. As the numbers increase the number of schools open decreases and more parents have to home school their children although the schools offer support.

Like so many occupations teaching requires training, skills and commitment as well as the resources of a school to manage the overall program but much of that is now unavailable and will be for most of the year.
When we return to a normal life it would be good to continue to value the work that teachers do.

Angel Flight
You will be aware of the vital role played by Angel Flight in assisting rural and remote families to travel to city hospitals for non-emergency medical appointments. We have thus far helped more than 100,000 people across Australia, of all ages and in all locations, with free volunteer flights and city ground transport, for 17 years. The benefit has, and continues to be, inestimable in both welfare and financial aspects. We do not ask for government funding, or fund raise, although the value to the community (without any call on public monies) exceeds seventy million dollars.
Due to the increasing need to help isolated communities, we are extending our free volunteer flights to include vital medical or health supplies, and extended compassionate flights where needed. This has become a substantial need and will increase with the closure of many regional flight services. We are also working to assist people to get to remote clinics where no commercial regular public transport activities or charter flights are available.
We thought it would be helpful to advise of this at the community level, in order that you may communicate our offers as widely as possible through members of communities in rural or remote areas , and to health providers and staff.
If there are any queries as to the extent of the assistance we can render, without cost to government or the recipients of the travel or equipment, please call the Angel Flight Office on 3620 8300 or email mail@angelflight.org.au

Clean up your act
I am writing to you to reveal the disgusting, selfish and disrespectful individuals who plague our supermarkets with their greed and ill manners.
These morons are not "true blue" Australians they are really voracious hyenas in human guise that have no sentiment - no morality.
When all the scenario of the COVID-19 disappears it is my desire that these perpetrators will get their just deserves.
Strong but true words.
