A BRAND new roof rests over the One Tree Hill reservoir along with many other new features after refurbishment works were completed at the site last week.

The structure was damaged beyond repair by a storm in December, 2018.
Tamworth Regional Council began a massive structural makeover in July 2019.

"A full reservoir refurbishment took place, which included removal and replacement of the damaged roof," Tamworth council's water operations manager Dan Coe said.
The reservoir's support structure, columns, vents, access hatch and internal ladder were also upgraded as part of the project.
"A generator was also installed on the site to ensure consistent water supply and pressure to properties reliant on the reservoir for water supply during power outages," Mr Coe said.
He said the reservoir is a "key" part of Tamworth's water supply network, providing the precious resource to people in Hillvue, South Tamworth, Westdale, Kingswood and Calala.
It can hold up to nine megalitres of water, which is equal to more than three and a half Olympic-sized swimming pools.
The One Tree Hill building has now been fully cleaned and refilled and is back online for the city to use.
The total cost of the refurbishment sits at around $1 million.
Mr Coe said he expects most of that expense will be covered by the council's insurance policy because of the original storm damage.
