Tamworth Baseball Association's annual June long-weekend carnival will not go ahead this year due to Baseball NSW's decision to postpone all activity due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Often regarded as the biggest baseball carnival in the Southern Hemisphere, this year would have marked the 52nd annual carnival.

However, the association made the call earlier this week to cancel the event until next year.
Association president Craig Lee took to social media to break the news to players from across the region and beyond.
"The 52nd Tamworth Invitational June Carnival for 2020 has been cancelled because of the current situation due to Covid-19 virus," Lee said.
"We would like expression of interests for the 2021 52nd invitational June carnival to be sent to ahandsaker@hotmail.com, with club name and contact details.
"We are very sorry for any inconvenience this decision may cause, but we hope to see you all in 2021 for another great weekend of baseball."
The event is the latest in a stream of cancelled events for the region, which Tamworth Regional Council predicts could cost the economy around $18 million.
The three-day competition featured 150 games, including finals on the Monday.
Tamworth recorded one of its best-ever results at last year's carnival, reaching the division one grand final.
