THE rugby season may have been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but the delay has not dampened the spirits of one of the region's most exciting prospects.

Harry Snook enjoyed a breakout year for the Tamworth Rugby Union Sporting Club in 2019 and this year, the Calrossy student wanted to go one better.
However, Rugby Australia's decision to postpone the season threw a spanner in the young man's plans.

"It's been a bit of a setback, that's for sure, Snook told the Leader.
"I've been working really hard over the off season and was really looking forward to the season, but it is what it is.
"I'd have to say it was probably the best off-season I've ever had."
The budding full back had been plying his trade at colts-level in Sydney during the off season.
"I have been playing a little bit with Gordon in their colts side," Snook said.
"It's been a really fun experience, which has really taught me a lot.
"They are a great club and I'm really grateful for the opportunity they gave me."
"I really learned a lot from last season and the experience in the Waratahs' set up," Snook said.
"I thoroughly enjoyed being involved and it has certainly given me a drive to achieve more representative honours.
"In saying that, while I have been playing some colts rugby in Sydney, this season I am still very much focused on my school and local rugby."
Snook said he was turning his attention to alternative forms of training to help stay healthy should the season go ahead.
"I had been in the gym but right now I am focused a bit more on my cardio and ball skills," he said.
"Other than that, I think all we can do is take it as it comes."
