Just before 11pm on Monday, the Faulkners woke to the news Tamworth Bike Scoot Skate had been broken into.
The front window had been smashed, bikes had been stolen while others were damaged alongside countless other pieces of equipment in store.
The owners are still counting the cost of the break-in and said the worst part of it all was that it appeared the thieves had been into the shop to scope it out before the break-in.

"They didn't go for the first bikes, they specifically grabbed what they wanted," Mrs Faulkner said.
"We're even more hurt because it looks like they've been in [the shop] and seen what they wanted.
"We try to help them [customers] all out. There's a lot of stuff going on at the moment and no one's sure what's going to happen next [with the coronavirus]."
Police confirmed five people had been apprehended in relation to the theft. However, the stolen bikes aren't of any use to the Faulkners anymore after they were trashed.
The shop has been cleaned, but now all the stock needs attention after glass scattered through everything from bike chains to helmets.
But, the Faulkners won't be shutting.
"We're still open. We're not going to let it stop us," Mrs Faulkner said. Despite already having alarms and cameras, the shop owners were also looking to further increase store security.
"We're definitely looking at increasing it and locking our bikes to the floor," Mrs Faulkner said.
