Paul Grills was the original trainer for the former Victorian gelding and won nine races with the son of Any Given Saturday before he was transferred to David Campbell at Grafton when Grills was disqualified last year.
Campbell has won six races with him, including the Ballina Cup, since he transferred from Grills' stable.
The Armidale trainer paid $4000 for the gelding and he is raced by his wife, Angela Grills, and three friends, Belinda Lenehan, Wendy Jackson and Jenny Tierney.
He has now won 15 races, been placed another 18 times and collected $264,773 in prizemoney.
"He's a marvel," Campbell said after the win at Murwillumbah where Melted Moments travelled three deep for most of the journey but was still too strong for his opponents.
Isobel Rabjones claimed 3kg off his 62kg impost.
"I thought he'd had too hard a run (to the turn)," Campbell added.
"It was the same at Taree but he just keeps going, he's a tough horse. He was entitled to stop. Gee he's a gutsy horse."
