Go for Gold festival committee member Megan Carberry said the safety of the community needed to come first.
"We do however look forward to a bigger and better festival next year, and also encourage small groups and people looking for a day trip to still come visit Nundle and enjoy what our great town has to offer," she said.
" ... So come and enjoy the hospitality that Nundle is famous for."
While Taste Tamworth's signature events have been cancelled, including the Laneway Pop-Up Bar, Taste in the Park, the Long Lunch and both High Tea in the Garden events.
Refunds will be available and the inaugural Taste Month campaign will still go ahead.
The month will showcase local produce from the region through smaller one-off foodie events and activities.
Tamworth Regional Council has encouraged residents and visitors to take the opportunity to support local business by embracing Taste Month in April.
