A man has been charged with a string of offences stemming from several alleged incidents in Tamworth.

Officers from Oxley Police District allege the man, 36, intimidated a 37-year-old woman at a home on Johnston Street, on two occasions in December 2019.
About 3am on February 2, 2020, police allege the same man attempted to break into a motel room on Ringers Road, before leaving the scene.

On Thursday, police stopped the man while he was driving on Nundle Road in Tamworth at 6.50am. He was arrested and taken to Tamworth Police Station.
A short time later, police executed a search warrant at a home on Nundle Road in Woolomin, where they seized two rifles, three scopes, ammunition, cannabis, a railway detonator and a plastic water bottle with tape.
The man was charged with a number of offences, including aggravated break enter and steal, two counts of intimidation (DV), four counts of possession of unregistered/unauthorised firearm, not keep firearm safe, possess ammunition, and possess drug and goods in custody.
He was refused bail and is due to appear in Tamworth Local Court today.
