The winning entry was purchased at JJ's Newsagency Plus in Armidale.
Owner Jessica Fischer said she was ecstatic for the winner and hoped they checked their ticket and discovered the news soon.
"It's fabulous news for our winner and for the community, especially with the drought and the fires we've had lately," she said.

"We're encouraging all our players to check their tickets. We hope our winner discovers the news soon so they can start enjoying it."
JJ's seems to be a lucky place of late for lotto winners.
"This is the second major prize we have sold in 12 months! Hopefully we sell another major prize soon," Ms Fischer said.
The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said the mystery winner could be oblivious to the fact their winning entry was in their pocket, in their purse or stuck on the fridge.
"If you purchased a Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot ticket in draw 10355 from JJ's Newsagency Plus, you have 100,000 reasons to check your ticket today," she said.
"Just imagine what you could do with an extra $100,000.
"Make sure you check your wallet, handbag, fridge door and car glovebox. Previous winners have found valuable tickets in all sorts of strange places.
