The house in Crown Street was targeted in daylight by thieves on Wednesday, Oxley police confirmed.
Residents told police two firearms, a compound bow, a coin collection were among some of the goods taken.
The break-in happened between 8am and 4pm, and police were alerted shortly after.

A crime scene was set-up by officers, who combed the house for clues.
Investigators are appealing for motorists in the Crown Street area with dam cam footage from Wednesday to come forward, as well as anyone who noticed suspicious activity throughout the day.
It's the second break-in in the city in a month where firearms have been stolen after a house in Oxley Vale was hit.
Four guns inside a firearm safe were stolen in the break-and-enter in Higgins Lane.
The break-in occurred between 6.30pm on February 10, and 7pm February 11, while the occupants were not home.
A Marlin bolt-action rifle, Rossi rifle, Savage rifle and a Stoeger rifle were stolen from an approved firearm safe located at the property, police said.
Investigators made a public appeal for anyone with dashcam footage between 8.45am and 9.45am in Higgins Lane on February 11 to come forward, earlier this month.
