QJC secretary manager Ted Wilkinson said heavy rain on Wednesday morning made sections of the picturesque course unsafe for racing.
He said the eight-race TAB meeting - highlighted by the $22,000 Quirindi Cup - had been relocated in its entirety to Scone.

"There was a lot of surface water on the track; all around track, but more importantly, it wasn't gonna dry in time for our meeting," he said.
"It wouldn't have been safe," he added, "so we made the decision to move. And Scone are kind enough to let us use their course for our meeting, and we look forward to being there tomorrow [Friday].
"All the race nominations stay the same, sponsorship - everything is the same, as far as the public's concerned."
The only difference, Wilkinson said, was that the QJC would have had an entry fee and Scone was free.
He said the QJC had hired a bus and had a "couple of cars" to ferry people to Scone.
